In July several restaurant managers and chefs along with the local professional theatre met with TBSN at city hall to plan the promotion. Three restaurants, Riverside Inn, Joel’s and Eganridge, along with the Academy Theatre planned to go forward with the promotion. Joel’s and Academy Theatre planned a dinner theatre combination.
In August advertising went out and the restaurants were connected with organic suppliers.
In September a second lot of advertising went out.
On October 13 A Night of Kawartha Cuisine generated $4000 in revenue for the restaurants and theatre and sold out two of the venues. More events of this nature have since been planned by the participants.
